Science MuseumFascinating for children and adults alike, the Science Museum boasts a broad array of interactive, engaging exhibits spanning the full range of scientific knowledge. The museum has also led some ambitious projects, such as creating a working version of inventor Charles Babbage's Difference Engine. The precursor to all modern computers, the Engine was envisioned by Babbage in the 1800s but he was never able to create a working version due to limitations in manufacturing technology at the time. This and many other intriguing devices, both historical and futuristic, are on display in the computing gallery. Getting thereIt's a few minutes' walk from the South Kensington Underground station.
